Over the past six months, the Examining Authority has carefully undertaken a detailed Examination of our development consent order application. As part of this, the local community, stakeholders and other interested parties have had the opportunity to share their views and take part in the process. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Following the close of Examination on 16 September 2026, the Examining Authority will now prepare its recommendation report and submit it to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero. The Secretary of State will then review the report and all relevant information before deciding whether to grant or refuse development consent for the project.
We anticipate a decision in March 2027. In the meantime, the application documents remain available to view on the Planning Inspectorate’s website.
